Monday Night at Nell's

This would be the first time people gathered here in the New Year, so Nell wanted to make it a little special for everyone. She had carefully handpainted and baked mugs for each person so they'd each have their own special one for when they were here.

"Then I shall stop my nascent investigations into the possibility that you're some kind of tiny domestic wood sprite," Liliana said. "I am comforted."

"Queen Oona and I already don't get along well," Liliana said, laughing. "I'd hate to belatedly discover I wasn't showing one of her kinswomen the proper respect."

By accident, anyway. When Liliana disrespected people, she far preferred it to be intentional.

"She is the Queen of the Faeries on the plane of Lorwyn," Liliana said with a small, fond smile, eyes distant. "Her body is made of thousands flower blossoms, and she's constantly budding off little tiny faerie babies from them. She lives in the beautiful, mythical Glen Elendra and sees the world through her children and the harvested dreamstuff they bring her."

A blink, and her eyes were back in this time and this place, on Nell. "Faerie etiquette is vast, complex, and often baffling. I wouldn't be so sure I'm in the clear if you had been one of Oona's wood sprites."

"Then you'd be less than a foot tall and the image you present only an illusion," Liliana teased. "I think perhaps you might rather remain yourself in that case." She sent a significant glance in Gladio's direction, then looked back at Nell.
