Gladio could feel Nell shifting to look up at him, but he was just going to need a moment to hold her a little longer, with a tight squeeze, before he pulled back enough, but with his arms still around her, to look back at her and smiled, softly, gently, somewhat lopsided.

And then smiling just suddenly wasn't enough, and he had to kiss her again.
