Monday Night: 42 Unicorn
Today was definitely a fried chicken kind of day, and Nell was pretty good at that if she did say so herself. That meant she had to make mashed potatoes and biscuits and gravy and zucchini fritters with cheese. Obviously.
There was more than enough to feed herself and Gladio as well as anyone else who might happen to stop by.
She had some quiet non-holiday music on as she fiddled around with all the last minute things, occasionally slipping a tiny bit of something to the cats - and a larger bit of something to Gladio, should he wander into the kitchen.
[There's more than enough should anyone randomly smell the fried chicken and invite themselves over.]

But, with that, and another chuckle,he leaned in to steal another kiss, because, man, did he love her, or what?
"They're great," he said. "Perfect. We doing anything to dip 'em in, too?"

"There's a homemade ranch dip in the frig or I can make up a little cheese sauce," she suggested. "Which do you think would be better?"

And that would be him pulling her in for another kiss, this one clearly intent on disrupting any sense of productivity she might have had for a good chunk of time.

After a very, very long moment, she pulled away enough to catch her breath for a moment. Then with a twinkle in her eye she leaned back in. "More," she said and kissed him.

Not that he was letting any notions of upset dinner plans stop him. That twinkle in Nell's eyes was reflected back at her in Gladio's warm amber ones as he took that break to grin and give her a dedicated, rumbling "Yes, ma'am" before leaning into the next kiss a little more to make it easier to just pick her right up.
It took a moment, to find a good spot on the counter to move to, long enough that he wondered if it was even necessary. He could probably do this holding Nell all day. But he did eventually get them there.

Dinner could wait. Fried chicken was good cold, too.

Of course, thoughts like that were very clearly the furthest thing from Gladio's mind at that moment. Not with Nell all wrapped around him with her hands in his hair, and his hands sliding from her back, now that she was secure, to cup her face as he kissed her back with a much different kind of hunger than he'd walked in with, but no less voracious.

But that was not anywhere near the forefront of Nell's mind either. Everything was Gladio. His hands, the heat of him, his mouth...
Was he wearing a shirt? Well, if he had been, he wouldn't be for long. She needed her hands on his skin, needed to feel him against her. Her top needed to come off. Now.
