Monday Night at Nell's

Nell was rather tired after her day at work and then rushing home to get the orders from her own store ready to ship out in the morning. Which meant her food offerings were a little less involved than they might otherwise have been. Still, there was a stew and freshly baked biscuits as well as various nibbles and the usual offerings for dessert.

Once everything was all set out and ready to go, she settled herself in front of the gas fire with a book and a cup of tea. And, within seconds, she had two kittens snuggled in her lap as well.

With everything turtle on sale that day at Turtle & Canary, Gladio's drink choice for the week was an easy one.

And with everything the wag it was, he didn't really think it was needed to really announce his arrival, though he was a little surprised to not find Nell there already to greet him when he came up. A surprise that was quickly turned into a chuckle and poked his head into the living room area and spotted her.

"Don't you look cozy," he noted, although some of that coziness was sure to dissipate once the kittens saw he'd gotten there and wanted to say hello. He lifted his drinks. "I brought drinks." And then the bag in his other hand. "And Iggy sent me with these as an apology for not being able to make it this week."

And, considering that he'd skipped out plenty of weeks without sending anything, that was probably a good indication that, if not for certain circumstances, he would have loved to have been there.
