Monday Night with Nell and Gladio

Nell had decided on lasagna for dinner - one extra large one with meat and a smaller one without. She made up a garlic spread for the bread, that Gladio could slather on her bread before they heated it up for serving, and a large salad. That plus the usual snacks and desserts should be more than enough for anyolne who might stop by.
Once everything was set and the lasagna ready to pop in the over she had some time to put her feet up by the fireplace and snuggle with the cats and/or Gladio if he was there. Though if he growled against her neck she might just have to drag him off to the bedroom.

"Just slather the garlic sauce on each slice and then we'll heat them up."

Once again, though, he just couldn't help feeling like what he needed was just a bigger knife.

"No sense in skimping on the garlic for garlic bread." And since they'd both be eating it there wouldn't be a garlic issue later.

But, even with the tiny, barely existent knife he was using, it didn't take him long to slather that bread and he looked over at Nell with a faint grin on his face. He was bringing his hand up to his mouth to lick some of the sauce that had gotten on his thumb off, but at the last second, seemed to change his mind and redirected his hand so that he brushed a little bit against her cheek.
"Looks like you got a little something on your face, though," he said, then licked the rest of the sauce off his thumb and looked way too proud of himself, and this is what you agreed to, Nell, by letting this man help you in the kitchen.

And she stretched up to lick the smear off of his cheek.

Then she pulled away a little and gave him her best innocent look. "I should behave better, especially since we have company coming in a while."

There.
Now you could call it perfect.

Company coming? Who cared.
