Monday Night at Nell and Gladio's

It had been a lovely weekend and Nell was feeling happy and relaxed. She'd arranged for someone to open Covent Garden Flowers in case she wasn't able to make it in, so she had the day off. She'd used the time to make some venison stew and some good bread to go with it. She'd also made chocolate chip skillet cookies and a skillet Texas sheet cake to serve with ice cream later.

The rest of the day was spent puttering around the house and spending time with Gladio and the kittens whenever they happened to find her and making sure the house was ready for guests.

Yeah, somehow Liliana doubted that angels would be the topic of conversation after their house emptied for the evening. Call it a hunch.

"Of course, dear."

Look, Liliana had seen that expression before and it didn't bode well for discussion.

...Err. On other people, of course.

Nell smiled distractedly at Liliana. "Yes, yes, of course."

Liliana went to pat Nell's arm. "I'm going to go get myself another bowl of that most excellent stew," she said, giving Nell an out of their conversation and the ability to drift back to...whatever she wishes.
