Nell was still feeling particularly cheerful tonight. She'd decided to make her own pizza dough so that people could decide what they wanted on their own individual pizzas. With her homemade sauce and fresh herbs, obviously.

She'd also picked up some ice cream because she'd thought it would be nice to cool off with something sweet at the end of the evening.

Once that was all set to go she'd headed up to the roof to check on her bees and maybe read a bit of her book.

Gladio was finding himself a little disappointed now, if there was a week where he didn't find a new-to-Fandom but familiar-to-him product from back home randomly on the shelves at Turtle & Canary. He was sort of liking the idea of getting to share these random little pieces of his past with Nell, and to reminisce over them with the guys.

But alas. No such familiar drinks this week, though he did find one unique enough to stand out and seemed like a flavor pairing for a pizza night that even Iggy would have to approve of.

"So there you are," Gladio said, once he made his way up to the roof after a search through the house proved futile in locating Nell. He went over to her, hand slipping to the small of her back to guide his lean-in for a greeting kiss. "Checking up on the bees?"

"Kind of hard for them not to be," Gladio said, chuckling faintly, because, truth be told, he was paying way more attention to how happy Nell seemed than the bees, "with you taking care of 'em. And I should know. That's coming from personal experience."

"Don't act all surprised," Gladio said with a huff of a laugh and a nudge. "You know how happy you make me. And then," he fixed her with quite the look, brow lifted and those golden amber eyes clearly alight with intrigue, "you go and say the words 'Cup NoodleTM on a pizza.' That's enough to make a man almost want to go and drop to one knee, you know."

It was teasing as much as it was a warning, though whether he was warning her that he just might have to do it or that she'd better not be saying something like that and not delivering, he wasn't sure.

"And it's this basil honey soda," he said. "Sounds really weird, but it could be pretty good. I figured, you can never go wrong with honey with this crowd, and basil's good with pizza, right?"
