Monday night at Nell's and Gladio's

Looked like she'd dodged another crazy weekend. Which was perhaps a benefit of spending the weekend doing house and greenhouse things. In any case, Nell was prepared for whomever might make their way over tonight, figuring she could make whatever comfort type food they might like.

She was also prepared to have no one arrive if they decided they needed a night at their own homes to decompress after the weekend.

Gladio's errands had taken just a bit longer than usual that week. In addition to the typical things he had to check off his list, there was also checking in at the old apartment to see if "Gildas" was still there (you know, it was turning out pretty convenient that Ignis decided to keep it, and that Gladio still had a spare key, so the guy had a pretty convenient place to stay after Gladio ran into him trying to see why he wasn't answering any of his calls after skipping Saturday training), and figuring out what happened to Prompto (who he hadn't managed to find this weekend, but when they caught up, oh man.)

But he didn't return home empty handed and he was quick to find Nell and greet her with the usual kiss and looking forward to just a nice night of relaxing.

"Iggy and Prompto are probably out for tonight, too," he reported loyally.

"Probably just us then," Nell said. "Not surprising. How are they doing?"

"Prompto got the worst of it," Gladio explained. "Ended up a Goron...you remember Sidon, right?"

Gladio, how could anyone ever forget Sidon?

"It's a race of rock-people from his world. So he spent a good portion of the weekend just rolling around in a big ball and chewing rocks, and he's definitely feeling it. Waking up over in the Rocky Bits of the island definitely didn't help, either.

"Iggy's physically fone," he continued. "But spiritually? I think he's just embarrassed and worried about how Lils is gonna take him being pretty much a cad to her when things went down.

"Feeling pretty gladio this one skipped us."

It would have been fine. He was probably just going to be a pot of flowers again, anyway.

"Of course I remember Sidon," Nell said with a smile. "He does make an impression."

She winced as Gladio explained. "Poor Prompto. And Ignis.. he was a cad?"

"Yeah, pretty much," Gladio confirmed. "Some kind of disgraced soldier who mostly just wanted to know where to find the women and wine. Guess Liliana didn't take too much of a liking to that."

Another reason to be grateful Igs still had that apartment; Gildas really didn't seem the kind of guy he'd be comfortable giving their spare room to with Nell around.

"Sounded exactly like him, still, though," he noted. "It was uncanny."

"No, I can't see Liliana putting up with that for long," Nell said."And I understand from the radio that Liliana was a squirrel?"
