Monday night at Nell and Gladio's

Dinner tonight was fancied up Cup Noodle. And fresh baked bread.

Nell was a little disheartened after having the flowers snickering behind her back all day, so she was making something easy that she knew Gladio would enjoy and that let her spend her usual cooking time sitting with the kittens by the fire and reading a book.

Nell kissed him back easily. "And means there's no concern about timing for when it's ready," Nell pointed out. "So, were we to get a bit... distracted.... it wouldn't affect anything. before we have dinner with that perfect partner."

Hey, now, he remembered how things went after that alleged stint as a Cup Noodle^TM spokesmodel in a potential future!

"I don't know," Gladio hedge, his voice a doubtful rumble punctuated with a wink, "it's have to be something pretty incredible if it's going to distract me from the ultimate flavor experience of Cup Noodle^TM."

Mmmm... good memories.

"No, you're right," Nell said with the same doubt in her voice. "We should just go have us some Cup Noodle and cheese. What good would any distraction be?"

And there was a wink and a little slide of her hand up his arm and around his neck as she stretched up for another kiss. A hotter kiss.

"Mmm." Gladio's hum was a deep, rumbling agreement. His hand slid down Nell's arm in kind, slipping around to her back. He shifted to make it easier to draw her in closer as the other hand joined the first.

There might have been some cocky little revenue-producing quip right there, but, nah. He was just going to stick with this right now. He could dazzle her with his clever wit when he wasn't working a very different kind of charm.

Nell slid in closer, shifting her skirts to straddle him. She smiled into his lips. "I'm not distracting you too much, am I?"
